Der März, der so schnell vorrüber flog und in dem ich so viel erreicht habe

Der März war wenig spektakulär. Ich habe mein Skigebiet nach und nach abgefahren, so gut wie fast jeden Lift mindestens einmal genutzt und habe mir von den Kollegen ein paar Tipps geben lassen. Ich fuhr immer schneller und sicherer.

Ab und an bin ich mit den Kollegen zusammengefahren. Ich hab erste Tiefschneeerfahrungen (über 20 cm) sammeln dürfen und ich bin auf engen Spuren gefahren. Außerdem habe ich meine Höchstgeschwindigkeit gebrochen und bin nun 61,3 km/h schnell gewesen. Desweiteren bin ich über einige Boxen im Funpark gesprungen.

The March flew by so quickly and I reached so much

This month was less spectacular. I explored my ski area one lift after the other. At the end I used almost every lift at least once. I got some tips from my colleagues so I was getting faster and more secure with my snowboard.

Every now and then I went on the slopes with my colleagues. I experienced deep snow (more than 20 cm) and I went on very narrow slopes. Also I broke my highest speed. Now my record is 61.3 km/h. I jumped over a few boxes in the fun park.

Viel Neues im Februar

Wir sind im Februar zweimal so ziemlich alle gemeinsam auf die Piste. Ich liebe unsere Teamausflüge.

Us team

Ein paar der Kollegen haben mittlerweile gewechselt und ich habe spontan eine Skiguiding-Gruppe übernommen, da jemand krank war. War lustig und die Gäste waren auch zufrieden.

Außerdem bin ich für ein paar Tage nach Kitzbühel, um das Haus zu besuchen, wo ich letzten Sommer war. Dort war ich auch snowboarden. Das Wetter war ok am ersten Tag, ich bin mit der Skiguiding-Gruppe mit, danach war leider so gut wie gar keine Sicht. Trotzdem war es nett, mal woanders zu sein und ein paar Ex-Kollegen wiederzusehen.

Much more in February

This month we went two times almost all together skiing/snowboarding. I love our team trips.

Meanwhile the team has changed a bit. I did spontaneously a ski guiding because somebody was sick. It was a fun day and luckily the guests were happy too.

I went to Kitzbuehel for a few days where I used to work last summer. There I was snowboarding too. I went with one of the ski guides. The weather was fin at the first day but unfortunately bad view the other days. Anyway it was nice to be somewhere else and to see some of my former colleagues again.

Barkeeper besorgen sich ihren Skipass selber, daher dachte ich mir, mir reicht der kleine vom Fassatal auch über 100 km Pistenkilometer.

Meistens bin ich alleine auf die Piste, denn die Kollegen sind meist in aller früh – zu früh für mich – los. Mit jedem Mal wurde ich besser und besser.

Barkeepers have to buy their ski pass by themselves. I thought the small pass should be enough. Val di Fassa has more than 100 km of slopes.

Mostly I went snowboarding by myself because my colleagues got up very early – too early for me. I got better and better.

Italien (amtlich Italienische Republik, ital. Repubblica Italiana, Kurzform Italia) ist eine parlamentarische Republik in Südeuropa. Italien hat etwa 60,8 Millionen Einwohner und ist damit der fünft bevölkerungsreichste Staat in Europa. Die Hauptstadt ist Rom. Italien grenzt an Frankreich, die Schweiz, Österreich und Slowenien. Die Republik San Marino sowie der Staat der Vatikanstadt sind vollständig vom Staatsgebiet umschlossen. Neben den großen Inseln Sizilien und Sardinien sind mehrere Inselgruppen vorgelagert.

Canazei (ladinisch: Cianacèi) ist eine Gemeinde mit 1910 Einwohnern im Fassatal (ital.: Val di Fassa) im Trentino (Provinz Trient) in Italien. Es ist ein Fremdenverkehrsort sowohl für Winter- wie auch Sommertourismus.

Der ladinische Name Cianacei deutet auf Schilf oder Röhricht in diesem Gebiet.

Alba di Canzei ist eines von mehreren Ortsteilen.

Canazei

Nachdem ich letzten Winter Service-Leitung in Westendorf in Tirol, Österreich war und letzten Sommer als Barkeeperin in Kitzbühel ebenfalls in Tirol gearbeitet habe, bin ich nun wieder für FROSCH Sportreisen tätig; diesmal in den Dolomiten im schönen Norden von Italien, wo ich bisher auch noch nie war.

Super, ein Land wo ich bisher nur auf Sizilien war und ein Job, den ich noch nicht im Winter gemacht habe. Von Kollegen, die da schon gearbeitet haben, habe ich schon den ersten Eindruck bekommen. Wurde allerdings von allen sehr Negatives berichtet. Aber ich bin ja einiges gewohnt und laß mich nicht so schnell umhauen.

Als ich ankam, dachte ich tatsächlich: „ist ja nett hier“. Ein paar Kollegen waren bereits da und sofort fühlte ich mich wohl.

Das gesamte Skigebiet hat 1200 km Piste, Alba di Canazei liegt auf 1560 m und man kommt mit den Skiern bis über 3000 m hoch. Die Aussicht ist überwältigend. Alles ist  weiß, oben sieht man Felswände, der Schnee ist super.

The Dolomites

Nach ein paar Tagen Arbeit haben wir eine gemeinsame Ganztagestour unternommen. Wir hatten eine schöne Weihnachtswoche mit den ersten Gästen und eine lange Nacht an Sylvester.

Ski area

Canazei (Ladin: Cianacèi) is a commune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located in the upper part of the Val di Fassa. Its name derives from the Latin word cannicetus (cane thicket).

In the census of 2001, 1,498 inhabitants out of 1,818 (82.4%) declared Ladin as their native language.

After I used to work as a service manager last winter in Westendorf in Tyrol, Austria and last summer as a barkeeper in Kitzbuehel also in Tyrol I am working again for “FROSCH Sportreisen”. This time I will work as a barkeeper again in the beautiful Dolomites in North Italy. I have never been there before.

Perfect the only place I visited in Italy is Sicily. Some colleagues who used to work there told me about this place, mostly negative stuff. I am used to a lot of things so it will take a while until I cannot deal with a place.

When I arrived I really thought „Whooo, what a nice place”. A few new colleagues where already there and I started to like the people and this place immediately.

The whole ski-area “Dolomiti Superski” has 1200 km of slopes. Alba di Canazei is located 1,650 m above sea-level and you can ski up to 3,000 m. The view is stunning. Everything is white and above you see rocky walls. The snow is fantastic.

After a few days of work together we did a whole day tour. We also had a nice Christmas time and a long night on New Year’s Eve.
